Luckily for us – Buy Women Built are on a mission. ‘If you believe in women. Buy from them!’ is their decree, and it couldn’t be any simpler. Being a female-led agency ourselves, KW Marketing were absolutely over the moon when our digital marketing services were called up to the task!

Buy Women Built is a bold new movement – a call to arms for all consumers. They are paving the way to support and shine the light on female-founded products in the marketplace. The company aims to harness the power of consumer spending to support female founders. It features a variety of sectors including health and beauty, fashion and clothing, home and lifestyle, and food and drink.

In March 2024, the incredible team at Buy Women Built landed in Whole Foods Market. The movement was built around highlighting female-founded brands on Whole Foods shelves and giving them the spotlight they deserve! As part of their activation in the flagship store, visitors could discover in-store their women-built brands. The campaign spotlights amazing women-built brands so consumers can vote with their wallets. By sharing their stories and showcasing their products, Buy Women Built are aiming to unleash women’s incredible untapped potential. They’re saying to everyone – “Let’s use consumer spending power to get behind women-built businesses, inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs, and build a stronger, fairer economy.” It couldn’t be simpler.

When you buy women-built, you not only support the incredible brands that are already out there but also help the next generation dream bigger. And the bigger that girls dream, the stronger and fairer our country will be.

So how did female-led KW Marketing help out the wonderful women behind Buy Women Built? Read on!

The challenge

The wonderful team at Buy Women Built were looking for the perfect partner to help them with their activation at the prestigious Whole Foods Market. So step in the team at KW Marketing!

Experts in influencer marketing, KW Marketing researched potential food & drink and lifestyle influencers to visit the activation and receive the box of goodies from some of the wonderful Buy Women Built Brands like Boundless, Bold Bean Co, Agua de Madre, Deliciously Ella and Pip&Nut.

The solution

KW Marketing invited over 230 food & drink and lifestyle influencers to the Buy Women Built Launch Event at Whole Foods.

KW Marketing also supported in the collation of samples and coordination of generous PR boxes for influencers and media, jam-packed with delicious samples from the wonderful brands that Buy Women Built supports. From Prodigy Snacks, to Bare Biology, to Natracare and LoveRaw – these boxes were to be packed to the BRIM with female-founded goodness.

The impact

And wow did this campaign make an impact!

The influencers helped create a huge buzz to a combined follower count of 6,684,126. We also had an incredible number of influencers signing up to visit the event – which was on a cold Wednesday morning in central London!

The PR boxes sent out by the KW Marketing team generated posts to a combined follower count of 1,334,226 (so far!). Influencers like the wonderful Lucy Roseford loved their parcel saying ‘Thank you so much for the goodies @buywomenbuilt!! All women-founded brands, I’m so excited to try.’

With gorgeous gift boxes made by the wonderful tiny box company, they were full to the brim with female-founded goodies. The lovely Jamie Rockers says ‘I’m so excited about this box that arrived from @buywomenbuilt full of female-founded brands. I already see a few faves!’

The BWB brands also benefited from UGC generated by the influencers for use on their own channels and they were able to reach brand new audiences that they never reached before! Which in turn increased their visibility as an organisation. The wonderful Buy Women Built community also benefited from the activation – their following has rocketed since the activation, thanks to KW Marketing’s hard work.

The influencer involvement also forged relationships and opportunities for the BWB brands to pursue for future collaborations together, strengthening the community and bringing like-minded female founders together. Win-win!
