When is the right time to start a small business? Do you wait for someone to tell you that now is the right time? Or do you just go with it and believe that you can do it?
May 2017 and I found myself wondering more and more, what if started out on my own? Build my own brand, my own client list and feel proud of the work that I am delivering. So, eventually, I took the leap and delved into the world of running a business.
What a HUGEEEE learning curve it has been. Every day I learn something new. Every day I push myself and have faith in what I am doing. It can be difficult knowing when to start a small business. However the truth is, you will never know when is the right time! You just have to go with your gut and take a leap of faith!
I am 4 months in and I can safely say I have enjoyed every single day. My clients present me with new exciting challenges and projects, whilst also making me feel a part of their team. This is key as sometimes working from home can feel a little isolating. My network of colleagues around me are a constant support and I feel privileged to work alongside such talented Marketeers.
From invoicing to time sheets, artwork to website creation, my days vary massively. But that’s the bit I love. The flexibility, the freedom and that content feeling when you know your clients value you and what you do for them.
With almost 10 years of Digital Marketing and Marketing experience, I have worked in both B2B and B2C sectors. Working in-house and in agencies, opens your mind to the big wide world. It is no longer as simple as just having a website. Making sure you have a multi-channel approach along with consistency across all areas is key.
