Why New Year’s Resolutions are good
So here it is……2018. The biggest year to date! But what does a new year mean to you? Setting new goals and achieving the unexpected? Or just another year bumbling along? Now, is the time to realise why new year’s resolutions are good.
Prepare
Preparing for a new year means getting ahead of the game. It is the time where you can plan your yearly activities, get ready for the January rush and be all round prepared for anything that arises.
My go to planning tools vary from offline to online, however my trusty notebook never leaves my side. From scribbles to WIP’s, to a million post it notes, I feel safe having it within arm’s reach whenever I need it. My second favourite tool is my Google Calendar, I must update it 1000 times a day but it literally saves me on a day to day basis. Preparing my days, scheduling my time and making sure not a second is wasted is the key to success.
Focus
Getting focused after the Christmas rush, is easier said than done. Thinking about where you want to be in 6 months or a year’s time is difficult however making achievable goals is the best way to stay on track.
My focuses for 2018 are all around my clients! Making sure they achieve their objectives, sales forecasts, online visits etc. it is my job to make sure I do everything in my will power to help them get there. From creative campaigns to basic digital marketing there is an array of strategies out there. I am here to help and make sure you are on the right path.
Achieve
Achieving goals, you have set at the beginning of the year is the best feeling in the world. It is crucial that you make your goals realistic and achievable from the offset. Whether you want more Facebook followers, a segmented email marketing database or simply better customer satisfaction, each business differs.
Last year’s goal was to set up my own business and get past year 1 in trading. I am at 8 months and going stronger than I had ever imagined! That feeling of achievement makes all my hard work worthwhile. This year my goals are slightly different, my mind-set is around where will KW Marketing go? Where do I see it in 5 year’s time? Whether that be to remain a one-man band or to expand? Who knows, but the excitement is so real!
