2022 has been huge for KW Marketing. From hitting our five-year anniversary to moving into our new offices in Exeter, it’s been an amazing year so far, filled with opportunity. We’re continuing to work with brands that we know and love as well as increasing our client base beyond belief!
And KW Marketing continues to grow! We’re thrilled to announce that an awesome digital marketing professional has joined our team as Account Manager. Mela Baldock brings a wealth of digital marketing experience. From working brand-side at a sustainable food producer to agency-side at a telecoms agency, her background is brilliantly varied and she is well equipped to tackle any marketing task head on!
Creatively driven as well as being incredibly results focused, Mela brings a fresh and imaginative voice to our digital marketing services. Her love for all things content as well as her organisational skills mean she can jump right into managing our content work across KW Marketing’s current client base.
We sat down with Mela to hear a bit more about her.
What’s your role at KW Marketing?
As Account Manager, I manage our wonderful client accounts, helping them with anything from organic social content to working with them to improve their paid media channels. Day to day, it’s about supporting our incredible clients, always ensuring that any deadlines are met as well as achieving our high standard of work. It’s a hugely varied job, working with all sorts of different incredible brands. It’s keeping me on my toes and I’m learning all the time!
What’s your favourite part of working at KW Marketing?
Definitely working with such fun companies (as well as with such a talented team!). Supporting so many amazing SMEs and being able to creatively share their stories with the world is so fulfilling!
What was your background before joining KW Marketing?
I studied English Literature at Queen Mary University in London then moved back to Exeter to study an MSc in Marketing at the University of Exeter. After that, I wanted to pursue a career that made a difference. Working with sustainable brands that are doing good in the world is where my passion lies, and I can’t wait to work with more brilliant companies during my time at KW Marketing.
What is the number 1 marketing tool that you can’t live without?
Notion! It is revolutionary. I’m very much a person who loves a list and to make lots of notes. In my opinion, it’s every creative marketer’s best friend!

Organised, Ambitious, Passionate
What do you like to do outside work?
Eat, eat, eat! I’m such a foodie and love to cook and bake lots of incredible recipes. Other than that, swimming, walking and just generally being outside in the sunshine! Oh, and reading! I always have a book or two on the go.
What is one brand you always look to for inspiration?
In the food space, I think that Riverford gets it so right every time. Producing amazing, engaging content while telling the Riverford story as well as keeping up to date with the latest trends by being a staunch market leader is so impressive! I also love Finisterre – such a cool brand, doing some pretty epic things.
And finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what would be your 3 need-to-haves?
- My Kindle! It comes everywhere with me. Pre-loaded with all my favourite books of course!
- My journal – again it comes everywhere with me! You never know when you need to write down your next million-pound idea!
- Matches – I am always cold (I have become known for needing a hot water bottle in summer), so would need a way to keep warm at night!
