Laura Kinsman

And just like that – a new season has dawned. The final few months of the year are always ones that rush on by – but we wanted to take a minute to stop and smell the roses as we have been so busy this summer. From our move to London as a fully-fledged business, to the amazing campaigns that we have undertaken, KW Marketing continues to grow and GROW.

And as KW Marketing continues to grow – we are ecstatic to announce our incredible new team member, Laura Kinsman! Laura has joined our growing team to take the helm of Digital Account Manager. Laura brings to KW Marketing a wealth of marketing experience. A self-confessed content and social media QUEEN, you can find her over on Instagram doing her thing, styling out this season’s fashion must-haves as well as giving insights into her super fabulous life.
As with any new member of the team, we sat down with Laura to find out a bit more about her, her background before KW Marketing, and what are her must haves for a desert island. Ready? LET’S GO!

What’s your role at KW Marketing?

I am a Digital Account Manager, focusing on social media for our wonderful clients! With a keen eye for content creation, I’m all for coming up with ideas for brand/ product shoots to advertise our client’s offerings in the best way possible.

What’s your favourite part of working at KW Marketing?

I absolutely LOVE working agency side, especially with such an amazing all-female team who are absolute experts in what they do!

No two days are the same and that just makes everything that bit more exciting. I’ve followed KW Marketing for a while before joining and it’s amazing to now be part of the ever-growing team to see the successes firsthand.

What was your background before joining KW Marketing?

I’ve tried it all – For 7 years, I worked as a Visual Merchandiser for a popular high street store (H&M) and then fell into the world of marketing from there.

I’ve worked both agency and in-house so have a good understanding of both sides and it’s safe to say, agency has my heart!

I’ve specialised in social media management where I was working for broadband companies in-house. This may seem rogue but if you can market a VERY unsexy product, anything else is a walk in the park! I absolutely adore social media – can’t imagine my life without it.

What is the number one marketing tool you can’t live without?

Canva, hands down. I’m a very visual person and when planning social content, I need to see how it flows and what order things go in. I can’t have things looking messy on the feed!

I also find it so useful when working agency side to have brand kits set out for each client, which means nothing is ever missed or branded incorrectly. It’s the little things that make me happy in my job!

Describe yourself in three words.

Confident, enthusiastic, motivated.

What do you like to do outside work?

At the minute… home renovations! But normally, my time consists of shopping, eating or dog walks. If all three can be combined, it’s a win for me. I love nothing more than a wholesome walk with the dogs, followed by a trip to a cute pub for a roast. I have a massive weakness for clothes and styling and I’m often creating styling content for my own socials.

What is one brand you always look to for inspiration?

It’s a bit of a random one! At the minute, I’m OBSESSED with Surreal Cereal. They pull off the most random campaigns and they always NAIL, out-of-home advertising with a funny hook. But then again, I’ll probably see a new campaign next week from another brand which will then become my new favourite.

And finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what would be your three need-to-haves?

  1. Moisturiser! I ALWAYS need hydrated skin and I honestly don’t think I’d last a day without it. Dry skin. Ick.
  2. My metal water cup. People call it my emotional support cup at this point. I won’t leave the house without it. At least I’m always hydrated, right? (Notice the theme!)
  3. Can I bring both my dogs as one item? I can’t leave one behind. I need the constant entertainment from two cocker spaniels running around nonstop. They’re the absolute best!
