KW Marketing announces FareShare South West as charity of the year 2025

This one’s big. The kind of partnership that makes everything we do feel even more meaningful. We’re incredibly proud to announce that FareShare South West is our Charity of the Year.

This isn’t just a title. It’s a commitment. To using our skills, platform, and purpose to support a charity that’s making a real difference on our doorstep and across the South West.

Why FareShare South West?

FareShare South West redistributes surplus food to frontline charities, schools, and community groups, turning what would have been waste into meals for people who need them most. It’s food justice in action, and we couldn’t be more aligned with their mission.

As a food-obsessed agency with deep South West roots, we’ve worked with brands that bring joy to people’s tables every day, from Pipers Farm to The Cornish Cheese Co, Popcorn KitchenLittle’s Coffee, West Country Olives, and many more.

Now we want to help ensure more people can access food, full stop. That’s where FareShare South West comes in. And that’s where we come in, too.

Digital marketing with purpose

As their Charity of the Year, we’ll be supporting FareShare South West with digital strategy, starting with email marketing, helping them amplify their message, strengthen supporter engagement, and raise vital funds through key campaigns.

Because yes, email marketing sells snacks and subscriptions. But it can also drive donations, recruit volunteers, and scale up social impact! It’s not just about clicks and conversions. It’s about getting more eyes and more hearts on FareShare’s incredible work.

As our founder Kate puts it:

“This isn’t just about marketing – it’s about purpose, people, and playing our part in tackling food poverty right here in the region we call home.”

Why it matters to us

We’ve always said KW Marketing is about more than marketing. Yes, we’re experts in data, email, paid social, and digital growth. But we’re also people with values. A team with heart. A business that believes creativity and community can (and should) go hand in hand.

This partnership brings everything full circle:

  • Our South West roots: FareShare operates right here in our backyard
  • Our food & drink focus: We work with brands that feed the nation, now we’re helping support those feeding the most vulnerable
  • Our purpose-driven mindset: We believe in giving back and showing up where it counts

What’s next?

You’ll see us championing FareShare South West across our channels, raising awareness, supporting fundraising campaigns, and sharing stories that matter.

  • In July, we’ll be backing their regular giving campaign
  • In December, we’ll go all in on their Big Give Christmas Challenge, helping raise £100,000 to deliver 1 million meals
  • And all year long, we’ll be offering hands-on digital support behind the scenes

We’re not doing this for praise. We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do and because it aligns with everything we believe in as an agency.

A word of thanks

Thank you to FareShare South West for trusting us as your partner. Thank you to our clients, the incredible food & drink brands who continue to inspire us every single day. And thank you to our team, who are all-in on making this partnership meaningful, not just performative.

FareShare South West CEO Lucy Bearn said:

“This is genuine, meaningful support from a team that really understands what we do. Their expertise and passion will help us reach even more people facing food insecurity.”
